Webinar | Future Urban Development in NSW and Western Sydney by “Michibiki” and Space Data

This event has concluded.

In New South Wales, Aerotropolis, a new urban development plan, is underway in the Sydney metropolitan area, the area around the New Sydney International Airport, which is scheduled to open in 2026.

The Aerotropolis project lists the space industry as one of the major industries to grow in the future, and recently NSW has signed a partnership agreement with the Australian Space Agency to encourage the growth of the industry.

In this seminar, Urban Reaissance Agency (UR) will introduce the latest trends in the Aerotropolis project, the possibility of utilizing the PPP model, and the possibility of smart city efforts utilizing the quasi-zenith satellite “MICHIBIKI” and other space data.

Mr. Newman (Senior Trade & Investment Commissioner North Asia, Investment NSW), is invited as the keynote speaker, and Mr. Maeda (Mori Hamada & Matsumoto), who is familiar with the development of Western Sydney and the utilisation of “Michibiki”, will act as an observer of the Q&A Session which will feature other Australian related organisations.

When: Tuesday 15 March, 3:30 – 6:00pm AEDT | 1:30 – 4:00pm JST

The session included English-Japanese simultaneous interpretation.
