The AJBCC is delighted to welcome our new members, representing a wide range of different sectors.

HITACHI AUSTRALIA PTY LTD

Hitachi Australia Pty Ltd. headquartered in North Ryde, Sydney, is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi, Ltd., headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Hitachi has been operating in Oceania for over 50 years and through its subsidiary companies offers a wide range of solutions for smart cities, transportation, health care, energy, mining and agriculture; with operations in every Australian state and territory and throughout New Zealand. Hitachi is a Foundation Partner with the State of New South Wales including in relation to the development of the Western Parkland City and Aerotropolis.

Hitachi’s nominated representative Michael Miller has been Managing Director at Hitachi Australia since April 2021. Michael joined Hitachi Australia in September 2020, as the Chief Operating Officer, with responsibility for delivering Hitachi’s expanding Social Innovation Business in Oceania, including the development of Hitachi’s Western Sydney strategy. Michael has over 30 years’ experience in the management of complex customer-oriented services businesses in Australia and New Zealand.

THE DREAM COLLECTIVE

The Dream Collective is a global diversity, equity and inclusion consultancy, helping businesses build diverse and inclusive workplaces. With growing operations across Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo and Singapore, it works with leading employers around the world to help them attract, retain and advance female talent through leading diversity, equity, and inclusion practices. Since launching in 2012, The Dream Collective has been responsible for transforming the careers of over 7,000 women & 200 companies globally through its Training, Employer Branding & Strategic Advisory solutions.

The Dream Collective’s nominated representative is Sarah Liu, founder and Managing Director. Sarah is a passionate advocate for women in leadership and furthering diversity and inclusivity practices in corporate culture to transform the way we work. Natsumi Funabiki, Client Lead – Japan joins as a member of the Future Leaders from Tokyo.

THE ASIAN RENEWABLE ENERGY HUB

The Asian Renewable Energy Hub project is a large, export-oriented green hydrogen and ammonia project in Western Australia. The project is being developed by a consortium which includes CWP Global, InterContinental Energy, Vestas and Pathway Investments.

Nominated representative to the AJBCC Andrew Dickson is the Development Manager of the project. Currently based in Adelaide, Andrew has been a renewable energy project developer since 2004, and has developed wind / solar PV / solar thermal / microgrids / hydrogen / ammonia projects in most Australian states. He has a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronic Engineering degree from the University of New South Wales, and a Master of Science and Technology commercialisation degree from the University of Adelaide.

REAL ASSETS ADVISORY AND FINANCE

Real Assets Advisory and Finance is a specialist consultancy promoting smart cities and clean energy.  We assist Japanese companies looking to enter or expand their business in these sectors, and help arrange asset finance for equipment to be sold into these markets.

Real Asset’s nominated representative is Peter Knight, Managing Director. Peter is the former NSW Trade & Investment Commissioner for Japan, and has worked in finance, government and communications industries in Japan for almost thirty years. He is passionate about the bilateral opportunities that exist in smart infrastructure.

BONUM ADVISORS

Bonum Advisors was established to bring together some of the world’s most experienced practitioners across the financial markets and corporate sector. With over 100 years of collective experience in a broad spectrum of businesses, markets, corporate structures and geographies, we deliver best of breed advice to companies both in the listed and unlisted space.

Bonum’s nominated representative is Stephen Good, founder and Managing Partner. Stephen has over 30 years of financial markets experience in Investment Banking and Alternative Funds Management, having been employed by Morgan Stanley, Deutsche Bank and Mizuho Securities and responsible for their global Japanese equity sales. As a Japanese national scholar he completed his postgraduate studies at Hitotsubashi University in Japan and is fluent in Japanese.

ST Solutions Australia

ST Solutions Australia Pty Ltd (‘STSA’) is the Australian subsidiary of SoftBank Corp.

ST Solutions Australia aim to promote the development of AIR (Artificial Intelligence + IoT + Robotics) Technologies in ANZ by partnering with business, researchers and start-ups.

Nominated representative to the AJBCC Takero Izuhara is the Director of STSA. Currently based in Melbourne from January, 2021 to set up our new office to extend our business in this region. Takero Izuhara had worked for the subsidiary of SoftBank Corp in Singapore for 5 years. He is a member of the school council at Victorian primarily school.
